1、 Optical performance parameters
insertion loss 
Definition: The degree of power loss when an optical signal passes through a junction box.
Typical value: It is generally required to have the insertion loss as low as possible. For example, the insertion loss of single-mode fiber optic junction boxes is usually less than 0.5dB, while the insertion loss of multi-mode fiber optic junction boxes may be around 0.3-1dB. This ensures that the optical signal will not experience significant intensity attenuation during transmission due to passing through the junction box.
Return loss
Definition: The ratio of reflected light power to incident light power reflects the reflection of light at the connection between the fiber optic cable and the junction box.
Typical value: The return loss is usually required to be greater than 45dB, and in high demand situations, it may need to reach 50dB or even higher. A larger return loss can reduce the interference of reflected light on optical communication systems and improve the quality of signal transmission.
