In the high-temperature operation area deep in the mine, the ambient temperature often exceeds 60 ℃. Ordinary fiber optic junction boxes are prone to sealing failure due to material aging. However, high-temperature resistant mining fiber optic junction boxes, with their special design, have become a reliable guarantee for the long-term operation of equipment in high-temperature environments.

According to data from a high-temperature mining area in a certain coal mine, ordinary junction boxes will experience water leakage caused by aging sealing rings in an environment above 60 ℃ for an average of 3 months. However, the replacement cycle for high-temperature junction boxes has been extended to 18 months, reducing single maintenance costs by 60%. Near the underground fire zone (ambient temperature of 80 ℃), the annual variation of transmission loss of internal optical fibers is ≤ 0.2dB, much lower than the 1.5dB of ordinary junction boxes, greatly reducing the need for replacement due to signal degradation.
