The core difference between Dalian explosion-proof electrical appliances and ordinary electrical appliances lies in the different design logic of "safety in flammable and explosive environments". The former requires a special structure to block the ignition source, while the latter only meets conventional electrical safety requirements. The two have significant differences in structure, protective performance, and applicable scenarios.

The structural differences are reflected in the explosion-proof design of key components. The shell of ordinary electrical appliances is mostly made of plastic or thin metal material, and there is no sealing treatment at the joints. If electric sparks occur in the exposed parts of the internal circuit, they are easily leaked directly; The explosion-proof electrical casing is made of high-strength materials such as cast aluminum or stainless steel, with a thickness 3-5 times higher than ordinary electrical appliances, and explosion-proof surfaces are set at the joints (gap ≤ 0.1mm). In applicable scenarios, ordinary appliances are often used in environments such as homes and offices where there is no risk of flammability or explosion; Explosion proof electrical appliances are designed for places such as chemical workshops, gas stations, and underground coal mines. For example, gas stations require Ex d IIB T4 explosion-proof electrical appliances to prevent gasoline vapor from exploding when exposed to electric sparks. The selection of the two should strictly match the safety risks of the usage environment to avoid safety accidents caused by improper selection.
