Structural Characteristics and Working Principle of Low-Voltage Cable Junction Box
The low-voltage cable junction box is an indispensable supporting equipment in the low-voltage power distribution system. It is mainly used for the connection, branching and protection of cables with a rated voltage of 1kV and below. It is widely used in industrial plants, civil buildings, municipal engineering, underground mines and other scenarios. Its structural design and working principle directly determine the safety and stability of the power distribution system, and it is a key component to ensure the normal transmission of electricity.
In terms of structural characteristics, the low-voltage cable junction box takes "safety protection and convenient wiring" as the core, with a simple and reasonable overall structure, which is divided into three core parts: shell, wiring cavity and insulator. The shell is mostly made of flame-retardant and corrosion-resistant engineering plastics or metal materials, with waterproof, dust-proof and impact-proof performance, which can adapt to different use environments and prevent short-circuit faults caused by the intrusion of external debris and water vapor. The interior of the wiring cavity is well-designed with sufficient wiring space, equipped with wiring terminals and fixing parts to facilitate the connection and fixation of cable cores. At the same time, an insulating partition is set to effectively isolate different cores and avoid potential leakage and short-circuit hazards. In addition, the junction box is equipped with seals and locking devices, which have excellent sealing performance, and is small in size and easy to install, which can flexibly adapt to various installation scenarios such as walls and floors.

The core of its working principle is to realize the safe connection and power transmission of low-voltage cables, and the core process is simple and easy to understand. First, strip the outer skin of the low-voltage cable to be connected to expose the core, connect the core to the wiring terminal of the junction box correspondingly, and fix it firmly with screws or buckles to ensure good contact, reduce contact resistance and avoid heat loss. Second, use the insulators and sealing structure inside the junction box to insulate and seal the connection part, prevent the core from being exposed and water vapor from entering, and ensure no leakage or short-circuit risk during power transmission.
In addition, some low-voltage cable junction boxes are equipped with overload and short-circuit protection components, which can real-time monitor the circuit status and cut off the circuit in time when overload or short-circuit occurs, protecting the safety of cables and electrical equipment. Its structural design and working principle are in line with the use needs of low-voltage power distribution, taking into account safety and practicality, and providing a reliable connection and protection guarantee for low-voltage power transmission.
