As a core connection component of the low-voltage power distribution system, the low-voltage cable junction box is widely used in various scenarios such as industry, civil use, and municipal engineering. The standardization of its installation and the scientificity of its maintenance are directly related to the safety and stability of power transmission, and also affect the service life of the equipment. Combined with the use needs of low-voltage power distribution, clarifying its installation and maintenance points is the key to ensuring the normal operation of the power distribution system.
The installation points must follow the principles of "safe and standardized, convenient and adaptable, and in-place protection". First of all, the installation location should be a dry, ventilated area free of debris, away from flammable, explosive and strong corrosive environments, avoiding locations prone to equipment damage such as water drenching, exposure to the sun, and mechanical impact, while reserving sufficient maintenance space. During installation, it must be fixed firmly; for wall installation, expansion screws can be used for fixation, and for ground installation, a moisture-proof cushion layer must be provided to prevent equipment loosening or moisture damage. Secondly, the wiring operation must be standardized: when stripping the cable sheath, avoid damaging the core wire; after the core wire is connected to the terminal, it must be fastened firmly to ensure good contact; different core wires must be marked and isolated by insulating partitions to prevent short circuits and leakage. Finally, after the installation is completed, check the sealing performance, tighten the seals, conduct insulation tests, and confirm that there is no leakage or poor contact before putting it into use.

The maintenance points focus on "regular inspection, timely troubleshooting, and long-term protection". Daily maintenance requires regularly cleaning dust and debris on the surface of the junction box, checking whether the shell is damaged and whether the seals are aging; if damage or aging is found, replace them in time to prevent water vapor and dust from entering. Regularly check whether the terminals are loose or overheated, and whether the core wires are oxidized or broken, and timely perform fastening or re-wiring treatment.
In addition, targeted protection should be done according to the use environment: in humid environments, strengthen moisture-proof inspections; in corrosive environments, regularly perform anti-corrosion treatment. At the same time, establish a maintenance account to record the installation, inspection, and maintenance status, and timely troubleshoot various hidden dangers to ensure the long-term stable operation of the low-voltage cable junction box and provide a reliable guarantee for the low-voltage power distribution system.
