Flange, also known as flange flange or flange. A flange is a part that connects shafts to each other and is used for the connection between pipe ends; there are also flanges used on the inlet and outlet of equipment for the connection between two devices, such as the flange of a reducer. Flange connection or flange joint refers to a detachable connection where the flange, gasket, and bolts are interconnected as a set of combined sealing structures. Pipeline flanges refer to the flanges used for piping in pipeline installations, and when used on equipment, they refer to the inlet and outlet flanges of the equipment. There are holes on the flange, and bolts tightly connect the two flanges. A gasket is used for sealing between the flanges. Flanges are divided into threaded connection (threaded connection) flanges, welded flanges, and clamp flanges. Flanges are used in pairs. Threaded connection flanges can be used for low-pressure pipelines, and welded flanges are used for pressures above four kilograms. A sealing gasket is placed between two flange discs, and then fastened with bolts. Flanges of different pressures have different thicknesses, and the bolts they use are also different. Pumps and valves, when connected to pipelines, the local parts of these equipment are also made into corresponding flange shapes, also known as flange connections. Generally, any connecting part that uses bolts to connect and seal at the same time around two planes is called a "flange", such as the connection of ventilation ducts. This type of part can be called a "flange-type part". However, this connection is only a part of a device. For example, the connection between a flange and a pump is not appropriate to call the pump a "flange-type part". Smaller ones such as valves can be called "flange-type parts".
